TECHNOLOGY
Near-Infrared (NIR) wavelengths fall just outside the visible spectrum, typically between 700 nm and 1000 nm. Unlike visible light, NIR wavelengths can be used mainly during twilight, where visible light is absent, and offer unmatched clarity and detail in difficult conditions. This capability is especially advantageous in defense scenarios where environmental factors can significantly hinder traditional optical systems.
Nedinsco’s Near Infrared camera technology enables defense cameras to operate effectively in low-light and twilight conditions, making them invaluable as part of Nedinsco’s surveillance & targeting systems. By detecting the subtle reflections and emissions of NIR wavelengths, these cameras can provide high-resolution images and video even at twilight. This capability enhances situational awareness, allowing for accurate identification and tracking of objects and personnel under very low light conditions.
Modern defense systems often rely on the integration of multiple technologies to achieve optimal performance. NIR sensors and wavelength cameras are no exception. By combining NIR imaging with other sensors, such as SWIR, MWIR or LWIR, Nedinsco can create a comprehensive surveillance solution that maximizes detection capabilities and operational effectiveness. This synergy of technologies ensures that defense operations are equipped with the most accurate and reliable data available.
